Low income uninsured residents of Calhoun county may be eligible for a
health care coverage program. The
following is a description of each available program:
Plan A
Residents eligible for the Adult Benefits Waiver (ABW) program through
the State of Michigan are enrolled in Calhoun Health Plan, Plan A. This program is NOT insurance. It
provides basic medical care to low income childless adults who do not
qualify for Medicaid. Enrollment in
Calhoun Health Plan, Plan A is done by the local Department of Human

Plan B
Residents who do not meet the requirements for Medicaid, Medicare, or any
other program may be eligible for a community-sponsored program called
Calhoun Health Plan, Plan B. This
program is NOT insurance. It provides
basic medical care at little or no cost to the member.

Plan V
Residents who do not meet the requirements for Medicaid, Medicare, or any
other program may be eligible for the Community Access Partnership (CAP).
CAP is a program where participants volunteer in the community for 12
hours every 6 months to maintain coverage.
Coverage includes primary care services, specialty care services,
lab, radiology and some prescriptions.
These services are donated by local physicians and hospitals.
This program is NOT insurance.
It provides basic medical care at little or no cost to the member.
